New Year Experience @ The "Holy" Temple

There is much difference in the spirituality which we see today, than those we read in History books. Its a game now. A Game of Money and fame. No, am not talking about the Nithyananda scandals. And, yes, it could apply to those kind of scandals too. But what I have to say is rather yet so simple, and compellingly credible...its about the Pujaris we meet in temple. And the crazy mob that surrounds them during festivals.

I had been to a historical place in Bangalore. Someshwarswamy Temple. My friend had accounted this rather inquisitive experience. People offering money for the pujari in the "archana plates", rather, steal the change! I guess conductors of Bangalore rather rule people's minds, with their "Change kodi change kodi". People scared to the guts for being snatched of the minimal money they have to offer, rather, yes, keep a ten rupee note and take (snatch) the change from the "archana plates". Where is the time for reflection and prayer?

Pujaris on the other hand, fed up with the ravaging mob, and the ridiculous mob's mindset of even snatching "prasad" from kids (an experience accounted by me, during the ridiculous time had at the temple), rather stop offering prasad after a count of, maybe, 'five..or ten..' May be that's what they murmur while walking in the danger zone in between the parallel forces of the mindless mob. No time to offer every damn "devotee" a pinch of prasad. Where is the time for selfless service and love?

There is just no time.

I'd rather visit the lake. And now that's a different story as well. Lake? Even been to a clean one?
